ANNOUNCEMENT OF RECOVERY MODELS MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER, MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER SPORT, MITSUBISHI COTL AND MITSUBISHI PAJERO

In order to ensure the safety of customers and strictly comply with the manufacturer’s responsibilities, at the request of Mitsubishi Motor Corporation Japan (MMC), from May 24, 2021 to May 23, 2023, the company Mitsubishi Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd (MMV) will carry out a recall campaign for Mitsubishi Outlander, Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, Mitsubishi Cotl and Mitsubishi Pajero models with the following details:

Recall program 1🎐: Replace fuel pump for 90 Mitsubishi Outlander vehicles manufactured in the period from May 16, 2019 to July 23, 2019.

ꦅRecall reason: The fuel pump inside the fuel tank may stop working, resulting in the inability to start the engine or the engine being turned off.

Note♋: All Mitsubishi Outlanders assembled after July 23, 2019 have been fitted with a new improved fuel pump.

ﷺMitsubishi Motors Vietnam will conduct a replacement campaign with a new and improved fuel pump for Mitsubishi Outlander vehicles completely FREE (including spare parts and labor) at all MMV Authorized Distributors nationwide. country, the time for replacement is 1.1 hours (approximately 66 minutes).

Recall Program 2:🌠 Check and replace the rear parking brake mechanism for 218 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport and Mitsubishi Outlander vehicles imported in 2016.

𓄧Reason for recall: Due to improper dust cover on the parking brake shaft, water can penetrate and rust the shaft. Over time, rust will corrode the inside of the brake mechanism and reduce parking brake force. In the worst case, the parking brake will not keep the vehicle stationary.

🦄Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam will conduct a campaign to replace the rear parking brake mechanism for Mitsubishi Outlander and Outlander Sport vehicles completely FREE (including spare parts and labor) at all MMV Authorized Distributors on Nationwide, the replacement time is 1.5 hours (approximately 90 minutes).

Recall program 3: Check and replace the driver’s side airbag inflator for 01 Mitsubishi Colt and 03 Mitsubishi Pajero cars imported in the year 1998-1999.

💎Reason for recall: NADI airbag inflators have been identified as potentially unsealed so moisture can enter the airbag inflator catalyst, and when the catalyst dries up could cause the reduction in density leads to the possibility of airbag detonation.

Note😼: All Mitsubishi Colt and Mitsubishi Pajero vehicles assembled after April 1999 have been fitted with an improved airbag inflator assembly.

ಌMitsubishi Motors Vietnam will conduct a campaign to replace the airbag inflators for Mitsubishi Colt and Mitsubishi Pajero completely FREE (including spare parts and labor) at all MMV Authorized Distributors nationwide, the time for the replacement is 0.6 hours (about 40 minutes).
